How to show file extensions in Windows 10
Step 1: It’s simple to turn file extensions on and off in Windows 10. Simply open a File Explorer window (the new name for Windows Explorer) and click the View tab.
Now check the box next to File name extensions. If the box is check, extensions will be shown.
If unchecked, they won’t. This is the opposite way the tickbox works in Windows 7 and Vista.
